Regulations Amending the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Regulations (Site Registration Requirements): SOR/2023-206

Transport Canada has introduced an amendment creating an entirely new part with a requirement for participants in the transportation of dangerous goods. Those who handle, offer for transport, transport, or import dangerous goods will be required to register themselves and their sites with a new online registration database administered by Transport Canada (TC) and to provide data related to their DG activities at those sites.

This registration database will create a reliable and comprehensive inventory of sites where DG activities occur, providing TC with information on such activities taking place across the country, including at sites that are currently unknown to TC.
